Garden Update

As some of you know, I spent hours planning and prepping my garden this spring. I planted seeds that I already had. I religiously watered and tended the weeds. As my little plants emerged, I was so excited. About a week after my seedlings were sprouting, the neighborhood pests (peacocks) came through and ate every last plant I had. I was more than disappointed. I once again spent a great deal of time planting seeds, but I kept a much closer eye out for peacocks. Once again I diligently watered and weeded the garden. I am happy to say that the images I am providing are proof that you can have a garden in a peacock infested neighborhood.
This is the loofah that I planted.
Here are my pequin peppers, but they don't look like the ones I have had before. :/
My arbol chiles that grow straight up.
I hope the ants don't kill my zucchini.
This is going to be orange watermelons. Interesting.
My lettuce has not been very successful.
I have five mint plants that were supposed to deter ants. Hmmm...
One of my blueberry bushes is doing well.

What did you plant this year? What is your favorite fruit or vegetable to plant? I'd love to hear about your gardening adventures.

Hugs,
Jenni
